From his base passage in 1 Cor 14:10 "There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification" (NASB) John looks at the 'words' that are spoken out in this age of a cacophony of voices and the need to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. Looking first at the utterance of Abel's blood from the ground, John shows how Jesus' blood speaks out a 'better word'. We are 'made' not just commanded to 'be'. We are the first mention of gender. Only we are given the authority of dominion. All this begs the question: 'What is God like?'

The old man images that which is passing away, while the new man images the life to come - the life of Jesus. What do we bring when we meet people? We either bring God or we bring Satan and the reality is as stark as that! We are to move from glory to glory - if we don't we're missing something. Just as the disciples were shaped by their time with Jesus, so are we and we should be setting our eyes on things above. We need to be seeing, by the Spirit, Jesus in his Glory if we are to bring his image into the situations of our life.

Part 4 of John's Image Bearers Series - Conformed to the Image. We shall see Him and we shall be like Him for we shall see Him as He is. Paul writes of the pointlessness of asking how we shall be conformed to His image. Just as we could not imagine that an acorn could bring forth a mighty oak without seeing it. Nor could wefathom what form the oak might take from the look of the seed. We cannot fully understand the glory of that which is to come but, hallelujah, we do get some hints from Jesus - from His words and His post resurrection body.

Here John outlines the basic approach that we should take to money, our attitude towards using & saving it, and how we should act towards one another as concerns money.

In this talk John looks at the views of both those who say that Christians should tithe money to the church and those who say tithing is only for those under the law. John looks at the history of tithing, its nature and the benefits and disadvantages of it before outlining the principles of giving as laid out in the Bible.
