Bognor Regis Bible Week
20th - 26th September 2008

An excellent week of Bible Study, Prayer and Worship,
hosted by Christ for the Nations UK

We have not long returned from the first Bognor Regis Bible Week and we have been thoroughly encouraged and inspired. The Bible Week was an exciting new venture, run by Christ for the Nations UK (Bible Training Centre) and hosted from the Royal Norfolk Hotel on Bognor Regis seafront. Inspired by the well-established Bible Weeks, but on a smaller scale, there were a number of well-known speakers, including Derek Tidball (Principal of the London School of Theology), Lyndon Bowring, Dr Clifford Hill, and Greg Haslam. There was also a evening concert by Phatfish and Saltmine Theatre Company performed their acclaimed 'I'm Calling You' play.

Two New Books on End-Time
Prophecy and Chronology

'The Seven Times of the Gentiles' and 'End-Time Prophecy - Part 1'

Derek Walker, the Bible teacher and Senior Pastor at Oxford Bible Church, has recently released two books tackling some of the prophetic passages in the Bible that relate to these last days.

In The Seven Times of the Gentiles, Derek studies the passage in Luke 21:24 where Jesus states that Israel will "fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gnetiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled". After taking the reader through the times of the Gentiles in Daniel and specifically looking at the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar, Derek studies the feasts of Israel and the life of Christ before charting a path through Daniel's Seventy Weeks. In the course of this exploration, he demonstrates that the period of Gentile domination is infact laid out in the Bible and so is the glorious truth of Israel's restoration.

End-Time Prophecy Part 1, as the name suggests, is the first in a series of four books that Derek plans to write on the end-times. Subtitled 'The Prophetic Framework', the book looks to provide a systematic introduction to Bible prophecy, describing future events in their chronological order and showing how God is fulfilling His purposes, promises and covenants. Through the book Derek tackles a number of important issues such as the nature of Biblical interpretation, dispensationalism, the rapture of the Church, the Millennial reign of Christ and Daniel's 70 weeks.

3 New Talks by Paul Carter and
His Previous Series on Offer

'The Law of God', 'Giving: Time, Talents and Treasure'
and 'The Lord Added to Their Number Daily'

Ealier this year, Paul kindly gave three talks in one of our house groups on three individual areas. Entitled The Law of God, Giving: Time, Talents and Treasure and The Lord Added to Their Number Daily, each talk takes a very practical area of our Christian walk and highlights what the Bible has to say about it. Paul conveys truths from the Word clearly and simply whilst holding back none of the challenge that these truths present to our daily walk. For more on each talk see our list of Paul's talks.

We have also finished digitising three of Paul's series 'The Resurrection of Jesus Christ', 'The Uniqueness and Importance of the Holy Scriptures' and 'Divine Guidance'. All three series are reviewed on our new Reviews & Recommendations page.

Recently we announced that the studies form the Creation conferences of 1991 and 1997 had been converted to CD, along with a number of other studies on Creation. These talks are now available as a 2-Disk MP3-CD set costing just £30.00.

The New King's Gate Church
Website & Podcast

Our Church's new website, www.thekingsgatechurch.co.uk provides information for those who want to know a little more about us and Bible study resources for anyone looking to receive some excellent teaching.
Whilst the name of the church changed from Chichester Christian Fellowship to The King's Gate Church in summer last year it has taken us some time to get our website up-and-running. Fear not, however, it is here! The new website provides lots of information for those looking to know more about the church. Whether you are interested in our history, our vision for the future, our beliefs or what our meetings are like, there is plenty for you to read. There's a lot more than just information though!

Equally important was the launch of a new Podcast earlier this year meaning that you can now download some of the talks from the church straight to your PC. The best part is surely that it is completely free! You can either subscribe to the podcast service (for more details see here) or download an individual talk. Not only that but there are notes from the last few podcasts added so you can either read online or download.

All of the talks that are given at the church will still be available from us here at CCF Tapes at the usual price, including those that are available on our podcast, so remember to check back regularly as we have excellent new material coming all the time.

3 'New' Talks by Roger
on 'The Kingdom'

All 5 of the Lockleaze studies have been re-discovered!

Thanks to the kind efforts of one of our customers we have managed to find the complete set of talks from the Lockleaze conference of 1982. Here Roger gave a series of talks on 'The Kingdom' of which we only had two previously:

Please note that what was previously STS 159 has now been renumbered as STS 160 so as to keeps the talks from this conference in the order that they were given. Equally, please note that STS 161 is not a repeat of STS 33: Pressing into the Kingdom but is a much more comprehensive study on this subject.

New Talks by John France,
Martin French & Ben Leney

Some of the excellent studies we've received over the past 6 months from our elders

Our elders and ministers have been busy of late producing some excellent quality talks. We previously mentioned Martin's 3 talks on Hope (now available as a 2-CD Set) and 3 on Ephesians (also a 2-CD set). He has followed that up with four seperate but equally good talks, the most recent being an encouragement from the story of Jairus' daughter entitled Do Not Be Afriad, Only Believe.

John has also recorded some superb material, from the insightful The Organic Unity of the Body of Christ, the encouraging Is the Glass Half-Full? and the powerful Taking the High Ground. More recently John has recorded two studies (JF 88-89) on our attitude towards our current post-Christian society, drawing guidance from Daniel in his captivity in Babylon. Finally, John's study entitled The Pursuit of God looks at God's heart for sinners - He is always after the one sheep - and we need to understand His heart if we are to walk in his ways.

We've also been blessed by some excellent studies from our recently appointed elder Ben Leney, whose talk entitled No Limits reminds us not to place constraints upon the working of God in our lives. More recently Ben spoke on Romans Chapter 8, entitled 5 Signs of Life looking to tackle the questions of how we know we are saved, and how we know we are growing in God.

New talks are being added all the time so don't forget to look here for more recent recordings.
