One of the greatest threats to us as Christians, and the Church at large, is spiritual interia. We forget the past too easily, concentrating solely on the future and miss some of the lessons that accompany the moves of God through church history. We look to remain in our current spiritual condition and don't even realise that we end up slipping backwards. This is a stirring and encouraging word that everyone should listen to!

We need to continually be in a living relationship with God, something that the world and the religious spirit in us hates. We must beware of becoming 'professional' Christians who know all the jargon but have none of the life. Roger walks through Rev 2 and reminds us that we must be careful not to lose our first love.

'Deceitful above all things and desperately wicked' - the truth about our hearts (Jer 17:9). However, they can be trained and here are the principles.

In these days of hihg-speed conveience food and drink we are lured by advertisers to expect everything quickly. However, this is not so with things of quality and the progression towards maturity is a patient, steady course. Part of this talk is similar to STS 116.

Those of you who have heard many of Roger's tapes will have heard snippets of his testimony already. However, here is a chance to hear a longer version, given at an FGBMFI dinner.

Recorded around the time of the 50th anniversary of the start of World War 2, there was a lot in the media about man's view of what happened then. In contrast, this very unusual study by Roger outlined God's view of covenants and pacts between nations, with biblical examples. He then examined what England promised (and didn't do) in the War. The conclusion, explaining what might have happened, is extremely interesting and is bound to generate some debate.

A Study on John 21v15-17. In this excellent study Roger explains the real difference between Agape and Phileo love and goes on to link Peter's three part denial of Christ with Jesus' three part challenge of Peter's love for his Lord.
